This naturally processed Grade 1 lot comes from the Konga Amederaro station in Konga village, Yirgacheffe. Situated at 2,000 MASL, the station works with 1,890 local farmers supported by the Toracho River. Konga Amederaro is known for its strict quality standards, placing 7th in the inaugural Ethiopia Cup of Excellence and reaching the final table for Taste of Harvest in 2018 and 2019.
Farmers typically grow JARC, an Ethiopian heirloom sub-variety, on small “garden coffee” plots around their homes. Shade-grown cherries are selectively harvested based on Brix readings, then undergo careful hand sorting and floatation at the station. Selected cherries dry on raised African beds for 15–18 days, turned regularly and covered during peak sun and at night. Moisture and water activity guide the drying endpoint before the coffee is rested, milled, graded, handpicked, and bagged in GrainPro for export.

Ethiopia Konga Amederaro Natural is a vibrant, fruit-forward coffee that beautifully showcases the complexity of Ethiopian naturals. At light roast, it’s bright and lively, with fresh blueberry, floral notes, chamomile, and a touch of raw sugar, giving the cup a delicate, aromatic clarity. Medium roasts develop a richer, syrupy quality, where dried blueberry and honey combine into a jammy, approachable sweetness. Medium-dark emphasizes depth and sweetness, layering dates, dark chocolate, and concentrated blueberry notes for a rounded, dessert-like character. At dark roast, Konga transforms into a full-bodied cup, with baker’s chocolate, jammy fruit, and hints of fruit leather creating a decadent, complex finish that still carries the coffee’s signature fruity charm.
